July 4th Newsletter
Pep Rally this Friday, July 3rd, 6-8pm at Dorchester Pool.........
**In the event your swimmer can't make a meet, there is a notebook at every practice (coaches will bring) that has each of the meet dates on top of its own page. If your swimmer will not be able to make it to a meet please add their name to the date they'll miss. For Saturday meets, we need to know by Tuesday's practice that you'll be absent. This is very important. We turn in the meet entries in advance and are only allowed a few scratches and substitutions per meet.
Blue Crabs Information:
The next game is Saturday, July 18th, 6:35pm. Please email if you can work; this fundraiser is only as successful as the parents and swimmers make it. All families are required to work 2 shifts.
* Report time on July 18th is between 4:00-4:30pm. Please wear black or khaki pants (no shorts or jeans), a red shirt if you can (or one will be provided), and no open toed shoes.
* You will get one free meal voucher.

The Waves of Westlake are a summer swim team that competes in the Prince-Mont Swim League against teams from Montgomery, Prince George’s and Charles Counties. The league is dedicated to fair competition and fun for all kids from ages 5 to 18, from top notch swimmers to those just starting out. If you have the desire, we will teach you the technique. Practices are daily in the summer mornings from June to July (see link to the left) and regular season meets are on Saturday mornings. The home pool for the Waves in 2009 is Dorchester pool.
