Unless otherwise noted, practice is held at the Dorchester Neighborhood Pool .  Parents of younger children are expected to remain at the pool during their child's practice session.  

 

Regular Season Evening Practices, M-F  (27 May -- 12 June 09) 

5:30 - 6:00pm:  ages 8 and under
6:00 - 6:45pm:  ages 9 - 12
6:45 - 7:45pm:  13 and up

 

Regular Season Morning Practices, M-F  (15 June -- 17 July 09)

7:00 - 08:30am:  ages 14 and up
8:30 - 09:30am:  ages 10 and under
9:30 - 10:30am:  ages 11 through 13 

 

 

Coach Seth must submit the team roster to "The League" by Thursday before a Saturday meet.  And each team is allowed 4 swimmer substitutions the morning of the meet.  What does this all mean?  Barring unforseen illnesses or accidents, if you know your child is not able to swim at a Saturday meet, there is a notebook at every practice (coaches will bring) that has each of the meet dates on top of its own page.  If your swimmer will not be able to make it to a meet, please add their name to the date they'll miss.  For Saturday meets, we need to know by Tuesday's practice that you'll be absent.  This is very important.  We turn in the meet entries in advance and are only allowed a few scratches and substitutions per meet.  Doing this will give other swimmers the opportunity to swim while ensuring WOW doesn't miss an opportunity to earn points.
